The AtlantOS project will be funded Featured
The AtlantOS project (Optimizing and Enhancing the Integrated Atlantic Ocean Observing System) will be funded over 4 years by the EU (Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Framework Programme).
With its partners, the Villefranche's group will mainly contribute to the technological improvement of multidisciplinary profiling floats, to the development of an integrated approach of biogeochemical flux quantification in the North Atlantic and to the development of combined products involving satellite and in situ biogeochemical measurements. As part of AtlantOS, 10 Bio-Argo floats will be deployed in the North Atlantic, so continuing the observational effort in this area already initiated through remOcean.
