The main objective of the Biopatterns project (funded by LEFE CYBER) is to develop innovative approaches to better characterize phytoplankton spatio-temporal variability by the combined use of satellite remote sensing and biogeochemical profiling floats.

Biopatterns is presently developing the biogeochemical component of Argo-France, and annual meetings are organized to share know-how and to develop synergies (cf. Villefranche meeting, June 201036.39 Ko). Participation of scientists and technicians initially not involved in Biopatterns is strongly encouraged.
